MAHINDRA AND MAHINDRA ENLIGHTENS PAU AGRI-ENGINEERS ON TRACTOR INDUSTRY DYNAMICS

In a bid to foster a symbiotic relationship between corporate and academic expertise, Mahindra and Mahindra (Swaraj Division) organised a lecture on “Indian Tractor Industry and Tractor Development Process” at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU). This insightful session, conducted to bridge the gap between the corporate leadership and the innovative minds, aimed at instilling a sense of professionalism, responsibility, and aspiration among the budding engineers. The event was a part of M&M’s ‘Leadership Campus Connect Programme,’ held at the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology (COAET), PAU.
A key speaker Mr VK Taneja, Head, Research and Development at M&M (Swaraj Division), meticulously outlined the intricate process of product conceptualization, development, and rigorous testing and validation procedures, emphasizing alignment with both national and international standards.
Dr Manjeet Singh, Dean, COAET, highlighted the longstanding association between PAU and M&M as well as prominent positions held by PAU agri-engineers in M&M and various other industries.
While welcoming the corporate experts and the PAU students, Dr SK Gupta, a member of Training and Placement Committee of COAET, told that M&M actively recruited PAU agricultural engineers, thus, providing invaluable industry training opportunities.
Dr Vishal Bector, Associate Director (Institution Relations), while moderating the interactive session, said that the company’s commitment to education was evident from its Student Education Support Program, which extended scholarships to deserving students pursuing agricultural engineering at PAU.
