New Advanced TECHNOLOGY for LARGE KIDNEY STONES -AYKAI HOSPITAL

A 45year old patient presented to AYKAI hospital with large kidney stone burden( around 35-40 stones ) along with blockage of right kidney for treatment of his ailment .
He had undergone multiple procedure earlier for removal of kidney stones, so there was a big challenge to remove these multiple stones and repairing blockage.
Urology team at AYKAI hospital decided to remove all the stones and repair blockage using advanced High Power Thulium Fibre Laser with FANS . RIRS with FANS ( Retrograde intrarenal surgery with Flexible and Navigable suction) is a latest technology introduced for removing Large kidney stones .This involves passing minuscule camera through very thin sheath placed in Ureter ( kidney pipe) , simultaneous breaking & dusting stone with powerful laser and suctioning of all stone fragments through specialized sheath with larger channels .All previously available techniques to remove such large bulk of stones was not suitable for this patient,so we decided to introduce this latest technology at AYKAI hospital to give best results and maximum benefits to patient in single operation.Urology team at AYKAI hospital who helped for this successful operation was led by Dr. Baldev singh Aulakh ,Dr.Amit Tuli ,Dr.Gaurav Mittal ,Dr.Naresh Lodhi ,Dr.Honey Goyal and Anaesthesia team was led by Dr.Ravena and Dr Rajiv Arora.
Patient underwent this procedure well and was ready to be discharged the next day.
