PAU MARKS CROCHETING MONTH, HOLDS COMPETITION FOR VILLAGE WOMEN

The Department of Apparel and Textile Science, College of Community Science, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), organized an exhibition-cum-competition on “Crocheting” to mark the celebration of “National Crocheting Month” in March. The event was organized by the final year students of the Community Science under the guidance of Ms Manisha Sethi, in the village Sidhwan Bet. The exhibition showcased beautiful products like jackets, scarves, cushion covers, shawls and mobile covers, organizers, etc. collected from the village women’s collection and made by the students. In the competition, a total of 18 ladies participated from the village and showcased their talent by using different patterns of crocheting. Prizes were given to the winners.
